Grab-bags of books for sale!!!

So, I have a *huge* number of books. No, really, my personal collection is over 1000 books. I'm moving, and I'm trying to reduce that number by at least a third. This means I have a lot of books that need new homes. And I'd prefer they go to people who will appreciate them.

One of the best things about being a librarian and having people throw free books at you is that I get to read books that I probably wouldn't have picked up on my own. I'd like to share that experience with others, and hopefully find good homes for those books in the process, and maybe make just a little money to off-set the cost of the move.

So here's the deal. I'm offering a sort of grab-bag book offer. Order below through Paypal and I will send you a random book. Or two or three. One book is $7, 2 books is $12, and 3 books is $15. If you want more you can order in multiples of those. The books I send will be fiction, published within the last 6 years. You can specify if you want adult, YA, or either. Most of the YA books I have are teen, with a few middleschool age. I don't have any true *kids* books, so don't ask. The books cover all genres, although I admit there's a disproportionate percentage of fantasy. I do not guarantee the *quality* of the books you receive. You could get an award-winning book or you could get a cheap Twilight knockoff. That's half the fun.

You cannot specify a genre you want, although you *can* specify a genre you *don't* want. If you absolutely hate mystery novels, for example, I can make sure not to send you one. Most of the books I have are trade paperback, although some are hardcover. A number of them are ARCs (advanced readers' copies) and so may have a few typos or cover art that does not match the final release. They *do* include the full text of the book however, no 'excerpts'.

If you only order one book, I can guarantee it will be at least 200 pages. For those ordering multiples, one may be somewhat shorter.

Lastly, feel free to spread this post around. The more the merrier. In the unlikely event that I run out of books to sell, I'll make sure to update the post immediately. Also, I'll be sending them in batches, so it may take up to 2 weeks to get your book(s), depending on what batch you end up in.

So, order today, and be surprised!

This is a brilliant way to handle the exploding library situation! You should have my payment. :) The only request I have is no romance novels. Good luck with the move!

Payment received. Three books, no romance novels coming right up! I'll probably end up sending them some time mid-next week so look for them to arrive early the week after. And thank you very much!

That is a very tempting offer, but as I live in the UK it would be to much a hassle. So I leave by saying good luck.

I can see that. I wouldn't mind shipping to the UK if you pay postage, but it's not likely to be worth it unless you order a whole bunch of books. Not that I'm discouraging you from doing that, of course :) What do you say - 20 books for $100 plus postage. That's a great deal there *evil grin*

*Laughing out loud* Jolly good, but for that price I get a kilo book over here. Thanks.
Good luck with your moving house.
If you let me know when you’re having your house warming party I promise to write you a welcoming poem. *winks*

*g* I'm moving in October 1st. Which is scarily soon. My apartment looks like a disaster zone at the moment, with piles of books and boxes everywhere! I'm thrilled and excited, of course, but I kinda wish I could fast forward through the next month or so :)

Oh I so know how that feels. I remember when I moved from Germany to the UK. I had so much stuff and most of it I sold via ebay then. Still there were many things to go into storage which cost me a fortune then.
I was glad though when all arrived over here. It’s alway as if the time is on fast forward when you are making plans like this.
But I am sure all will work out smoothly. And before you can say “Jack Robinson” you will be all snuggled up and cosy in your new abode.
