Which included an antecedent in OFris. which I had to look up on Wikipedia as being Old Frisian, a language of Germanic origin spoken in an area on the shore of the North Sea . . .
So from Snakes on a Plane to Geoffrey Chaucer to the OED to linguistics . . .
